After
the restoration of Presidio La Bahia in the mid-1960's,
the area now known as The Quarters was used by priests
as housing. Today, for a nominal fee, The Quarters
is available for use by the general public for a nightly
stay.
The Quarters is part of what used to be the officer's
quarters, along the west wall of the presidio. There
are two entrances, one from within the presidio in
the court yard, across from the chapel, and an exterior
door from the parking area.
Overnight visitors can come and go at their leisure.

What
are The Quarters like? The Quarters is actually a
two bedroom apartment with three beds. It includes
a living and dining area with fireplace, master bedroom,
kitchen, bathroom with shower, and a second bedroom
with two single beds. Also included is a complete
kitchen, full size refrigerator/freezer, and central
air and heat.
